Thinkpad L13 Yoga Gen 4 - BIOS request

    Hello everyone,

I need a BIOS for the Thinkpad L13 Yoga Gen 4.
    S/N: PW05KQH7
    Type Number: 21FR-0005GE

A recent BIOS update from Lenovo has bricked the laptop.
Currently there is no charging light.
According to Lenovo's website, the BIOS version R26ET41W/EC R26HT28W (r26uj08w) has been withdrawn due to issues with the system failing to power on after the BIOS/EC update.

      Hello SMDflea,

I tried to export it but the BIOS chip is a low profile smd and the Soic8 can not reach the pins.
      The chip is: WINBOND 25R256JWEQ
      2222
      6219
      M0047
Can i dump the BIOS with another way without desoldering the chip?

              Hello,
I have tried to capture the BIOS 3 times and every time the BIOS dump seems to be identical according to HxD.
              I have attached the examples.

Discard the clip, remove the bios chip and read it.

                  Hello everyone!

                  I have a similar problem.

                  Thinkpad L13 Yoga Gen 4
                  S/N: PW07PX44
                  Type Number: 21FS-S0NM00

But, as far as I'm concerned, the EC controller needs to be flashed first
Since it's actually clean, only the DMI area remains at the end
I am attaching the read dump of NCPX997

When the charger is connected, the laptop consumes 25mA statically, does not respond to the power button, but the indicator lights up as if the laptop is on.
Help extract the firmware of EC controller from BIOS update file
Or suggest how to do it
                  Thank you

                    Hello
I managed to figure out the problem
So I'll answer my own question, maybe it will be useful to someone

As it turned out, there are no problems with the EC controller firmware (it should be like that, only the DMI area)
Through experimentation, I found that it is enough to write the EC firmware area, previously downloaded from the official website, to the BIOS1(25Q128JW) flash drive.
The unzipped file is called as $0AR2600.FL2
This area is found twice in the dump
                    At addresses 0x1000 and 0x80000
After that, the laptop started up
And additionally performed a regular BIOS update
                    Required files
And I'm adding my dump files
                    Attached Files

                      Hello,

Thank you Alegoff for sharing your findings.
It seems I was trying to read the wrong chip.
                      The correct chip was: W25Q128JNSQ
I have tried to use your OF_W25Q128JW1.8V@SOIC8.BIN file and the charging light turned on.
Afterwards the Escape, F1, F4 buttons were blinking continuously and the laptop could not be turned on.
I have attached the original W25Q128JNSQ dump in case anyone can help me since I do not know how to proceed.

With this BIOS version, there is no charging light, and the laptop can not be turned on.

A bit of background from two days ago:

After flashing the EC BIOS from your second post (the "OF" version), the charging light turned on, and the ESC, F1, and F4 keys started blinking.
When I tried to power on the laptop, the power button's LED lit up, but there was no display output, and the blinking keys stopped.
After about two hours, the blinking stopped completely.
Since then the laptop has no charging light.

Then as an option, try flashing two dumps
It should work, otherwise there are some problems with the board.

How did you flash the 25R256JWEQ?
Have you desoldered it or did you use a Sop8 wson clip?

Desoldered with a hot air station
I don't recommend using a Clip when there is more than one flash.
