Hi i have this satellite c50d mainboard PT10AN rev 2,1
This laptop don t recognize HDD i try another new hdd the same problem
do not recognize on bios hdd is NONE.

I think maybe is bios problem???

In my case a normal bios update did the trick. (Bios was never updated and new hdd seem to need recent bios)

This might help. Not sure if it is the same as yours. As for the bios you can use 7zip to get an fd bios file from the toshiba website bios download for your model (i.e the .exe file).

is the hdd Spin-up ?

if not

1- check 5v on the hdd connector or check if there any losses the connector itself

2- check the four capacitor coupling the sata signal


3-replace the south bridge


if the hdd is Spin-up then its a bios or south bridge


(don't forget to make a visual check on the south bridge area if there any broken coil or scratch )

case closed the customer did not give me more than four days to repair it. anymore don t have 5 v on the hdd connector, this model have only CPU soldered on the board no NB no SB on board i think is integrated on CPU.
