any ideas would be appreciated
I have this vpro laptop locked with administrator password "bios" but it works fine boot into Os with no problem but entering bios to make any modification

I removed Cmos battery trying to reset the password now laptop cannot boot until you enter admin password
I was not aware of that security chip called TPM
Infineon slb 9635 tt 1.2
it is controlling the Super IO , bios and stores the password keys
I've attached the Schematic of the mainboard the only document I've found explaining the pin out of this chip "28 pin"
reflashing bios chip doesn't work thanks god I backed up original software before trying another software
is there anyway to bypass this security chip can I program it using eeprom programmer or reset it
can anyone of the experts explain those pins and their functions

my problem seem deeper i would try your solution when i was able to boot into hdd or flash
when i removed the cmos battry
laptop boots with error 502 "cmos chksom error defualt setting will be applied" "english"
"press enter to reboot"
then a german massage like "f1 to continue " "f10 for setup"
f1 will reboot then shutdown power led light red then charge led yello then shutdown and it keeps turn on then off " like there's an error "
f10 will ask for bios administrator with option f5
nothing els to do

i posted another thread and one told me that password is stored on the flash chip
i've tried bios reflash many time, many firmware versions but didn't work laptop doesn't boot charge led turn on when i insert ac adatper but no power or boot

what's worng the laptop is business class there's somthing worng
i can't figure it out

I think you have to reflash the entire cmos, the bios file is 3.092. The entire eeprom is 8072
including tpm, me etc. The password might be in another part of the chip than the bios

Laptops don't tend to lose their passwords when the CMOS battery is pulled just the way they are configured. A quick Google turns up paswword unlocked BIOS chips and a tool that looks to clear the BIOS password from Windows.
Enterprise class laptop tends to mean enterprise class security.

I understood the whole thing wrong and you people are right
I even removed the TPM chip out still asking for password
so now I have the original locked BIN file "8.0mb"
i got a crazy idea to restore original bios then apply another bios without erasing original one
i got laptop now open with no password can boot from anything hdd or usb but only one time i cannot restart or shutdown then power on again lap doesn't boot again

so i understand now that bios chip include password and only the modified options stored on CMOS battery
so my problem now could be fixed with "smok92" software i' going to try it again
or or applying original clean bios for compal KAT10 la-5251p rev 1.0 not 0.09 "the attached schematics"
hoping this could work
and anyone could drive me to that bios would be grate or anyone have that mainboard dump a bios chip software

I have the same problem with the lock BIOS on my Elitebook 2540P. I had difficulty to transform your .BIN file.
Now I have burn a CD with a transform ISO file.

Do I have to start the computer with this CD ??

OK fine it's work and I run c:\ DOS, but I don't find my model in the list:
Elitebook 2540P.
I try 2740P or 2340P but the system refuse to reset.
I try to program with the option with the model number write on the bottom of the Elitebook and no result too.

Finally it's work with the "P" program but I work hard with the DOS command.

Hi There, i will tell you, how i did to this to work.
First you need to get the Serial Number and UUID by pressing F1 on Boot Menu, write for use on the HP EliteBook Tool that the user (imranromi) provided
1)Remove Hard Drive from Laptop
2) Try to boot by network
3)Insert the USB formated and with the tools provided above
4)Follow the Instrucctions from http://mazzifsoftware.blogspot.com/p...os-unlock.html
5)Thats all.
