I just wrote your BIN file to the BIOS chip and tried to get a POST. However, the motherboard behaves exactly the same as it did with the original BIOS image. When power is applied, the keyboard backlight comes on, the CAPS Lock light comes on, and the fan spins at high RPM for about 60 seconds. Then it powers off.

You didn't say how you modified the BIN file I uploaded. If you only cleaned the ME region, then perhaps that is not enough. Or perhaps the motherboard has a hardware fault that I have not found yet. As I said, the resistance and voltage on the PUG01/PLG01 power supply for the iGPU are very low, so that may indicate an internal short somewhere.

Thanks again for trying to help me.

Well, cleaning the BIOS was worth a try. It had all the classic symptoms. Now I have a T48 programmer and a thirst for knowledge. There are no failures -- only learning opportunities!

Do NOT post in all caps please.
Upload the image of the Service tag label, motherboard model and full laptop name must be written/typed at your request too.

Hi there, I wonder if I could still repair the BIOS of my old Inspiron 5570 laptop? BIOS was bricked after setting DDR4-2666 (Originally, DDR4-2400) using UEFITool (https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/commen...mment/g03uxxk/). Tried to reprogram the chip but it needed to be desoldered. Unfortunately, I damaged the chip's legs and board's solder pads because I didn't have proper tools back then. I already lost BIOS chip now, so no BIOS dump. But exploring if it can still be restored, before I conclude the board is totaled.

                              Board specifics:
                              Model: Dell Inspiron 5570
Specifications: i5-8250U, Radeon 530 2GB (though I can see 4 VRAM chips in total).
                              Board ID: CAL50/DAL10 LA-F115P Rev: 1.0 (A00) 2019-09-26
Dell Part No.: 0JPMY7 (longer part code: CN-0JPMY7-CMC00-82D-0139-A01)
                              BIOS Chip: Winbond W25Q128FVSIQ_SO8 (16MB)

Would be very awesome if I could source a BIOS dump file from a similar model and board ID. Thanks a lot!
