Re: issue with dell latitude 5480 bios rewrite

i believe i've identified and corrected an issue with my programmer. i have since reprogrammed a T460S with a couple reads/writes, all successful.

i am now able to consistently read/write to this dell

i have tried five different dumps though, and they all spin the fans and shut down

    anybody?

i took this BIOS and ran MEinject on it, and it does light up the power LED and spin the fans now

also i notice that the LCD is turning on... no backlight, but LCD gets darker, before it cuts off

Re: issue with dell latitude 5480 bios rewrite

are those the same files as in post #16 in this thread:
              https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?p=870544

i tried writing the other EC, but the laptop won't even spin fans with that EC written. i'll try this one after work today.

              thanks!

ok, i couldn't wait until after work. i wrote the bios and the EC, and these results:

connect power, power LED comes on
                no response to power button
                LCD comes on (no backlight)
                after some time, fan spin
                fans/lights off
power LED back on, but no activity

                                Hello:
I need to eliminate the BIOS password on a DELL 5480 Latitude. I tryied the site https://bios-pw.org/ but there's no longer an extense variety of combination options avaliable there.
The Service Tag S/N is: 8QT25Q2 The MFG YR: 2018.-
If someone of you, guys, can help me with this issue I'll really appreciate it.
                                Thank you.

I have no way to confirm the BIOS installed there... About the motherboard I guess should be the LA-E081P.
