Ok it's stuck on the BIOS screen again and no further, can get "Entering Setup..." hitting F10 but it never gets further than that.

I think it may have restored the previous one from the EC? Is this a thing with Sure Start models?

EDIT: Little lookup on HP's website it says it keeps a copy in the HP Endpoint Security Controller which I think has restored some of the bad parts, is there anyway I can update this controller to prevent this data mismatch?

i have a problem with my zbook 17 g5 laptop. The laptop turns on by itself. When updating to a newer bios, it no longer starts. Black screen and fans on full blast. I think iME is to blame. I have to upload a backup of the 32MB chip I created and everything almost works again. Here is a listing of both BIOSes. The BIOS was password protected. I used RCUnlocker. I have two of these laptops and they both do the same thing :-( Help me PLS

So after three days I managed to successfully update the bios to the latest version 01.26.00, but it's still not the same.
Sleep mode does not work.
LAN connection and cable disconnection functional only after restart.
Any change in the BIOS, save and the laptop won't boot again - the fans will spin at full speed and the screen will be black.
It does not show in UEFI mode the time until the battery dies, only when charging.
When turning off, the power button flashes 20 times and then the laptop turns off. Sometimes it turns itself on right away.
After disconnecting the battery and adapter, it will remain stuck in the HP logo. When I connect the LAN cable and restart it starts up ok.
Can someone please take a look at what could be wrong?

Can anyone help me fix this ?

The laptop keeps stalling in the same place.
This happened after a bios update.
It does not freeze,but it looks like it waits for a signal or something is returning an error but does not ouput it.
I've tried to remove everything removable and replace the ram aswell.I don't have a GPU to test with another one,but this one at least outputs video...

Any suggestions ?
