Hi,
trying to clean ME region in HP Zbook 15 G3. Working with full BIOS dump, which is 16 MB (16777216 bytes), done using ch341a. MEAnalyzer says that Version is 11.8.70.3626 and Flash Image Tool is 11.0.22.3001.
Using Flash Image Tool v11.8.86.3877 (from package CSME System Tools v11 r46.rar) I get this error:
Error 16: Not a valid file type.
Error 10: Failed to open with processed commands.
Could the dump be corrupted or am I doing something wrong?
(Dump can be opened in UEFITool, no errors there).

Reason: mentioned UEFITool

Error 16: Not a valid file type. .Not sure. Post your bios
Here's the BIOS, or, more precisely, the full dump of IC that appears to contain BIOS:
There is a something wrong with your backup, try to read it again.

Thanks, I'll desolder the chip and try to read it again. Just to make sure - all we need is the main BIOS and not the EC chip's contents, right? (picture shows both chips).

It's better to combine both chips. so upload (16+8)MB.

Here's your clean file, try it and let me know.
use this file with your 16MB chip, and put your 8MB Chip back.
Tried the BIOS, and it does not fix the issue: laptop still turns on and off, on repeat. Thought that maybe ME cleanup would review it but no luck. Probably an electrical failure. Anyway, thanks for preparing the BIOS.
you have at post #1 in this thread, a tutorial on how to clean the ME region.. with that program it will hurt you more... if you don't succeed, look for a thread on the website in the "bios only" section with the name and model of the laptop and post the content of the bios chip there, and someone will help you..
