HP Notebook 15-da0019la (EPK50 LA-G073P)
Hi, dear friends!
Computer: HP Notebook 15-da0019la
MoBo: EPK50 LA-G073P Rev: 1.0
BIOS chip: XMC QU64AHIG
I have this laptop with a frozen BIOS because of a Windows update. I already tried to reprogram the flash memory with a EZP2019 programmer (the autodetect doesn't work for the chip, so I used the W25Q64 chip option at 6 MHz, but not sure if this is correct way), unfortunaley, when I turn on the laptop it just blinks the code 5.3 in the caps lock.
Besides, I found out that at the HP site for the model there is a software tool (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers...model/21909979) that extracts the BIOS file, but there are 6 different bin files (3 with 16MB size and the other 3 with 8MB size) plus another 6 files with .s12 extension (with the same names as the bin and 1KB size each one), with these names:
084A6 -- 8MB
084A8 -- 8MB *
084AA -- 8MB *
086B3 -- 16MB
086C1 -- 16MB
08532 -- 16MB
According to the BIOS chip, I need an 8 MB file, so I tried with those marked with an * from the previuos list. But it didn't work, just the appear the blinking code again. I'm here to see if anyone could share the correct BIOS file (or a dump from the same laptop model), or if really worth it to try with the last 8 MB file; beacause I already de-soldered the chip twice. So, I think this is my last chance before a possible damage to the MoBo.
I really apreciate your comments and help!
