Hi, I was comparing old bios dumps with absolute here and I was able to edit mine and fix it, it booted to manufacturer mode, I set the Asset tag, then disabled Absolute. Thank you.

Just wanted to give an update, I had this problem, and was attempting to re-flash the bios to resolve it, because the reset bios defaults option did not work, kept rebooting to the same issue. I formatted a USB drive to fat32, downloaded the bios file from the dell website, renamed the .exe to BIOS.rcv and copied it to the usb. Loaded the usb in the pc (only worked in type-C port), used the ctrl + esc boot process and was presented with a new option in addition to reset bios defaults that allowed me to load bios from USB.
