Hey everyone,
I have an HP Probook 450 G8. I currently don't have the original EC ROM backup. My model is DAX8QAMB8D0 REV. D. I am supposed to only flash the EC ROM GD25B256D chip or should I flash the SPI ROM MX25L25673G? Currently, when I press the power button, the caps lock and num lock light blink 7 times and the fan doesn't spin and the display is black. Any help is appreciated
Okay, so that would be the GD25B256D? Next to that chip it says EC ROM. That one is right next to the RAM module. Sorry for the confusion, I am not sure the difference between EC ROM and SPI ROM, or which one contains the main BIOS.
Unfortunately, I still have the issue with num lock and caps lock blinking 7 times when pressing the power button. I checked voltages and the EC chip is getting 3.3 volts but not the SPI Rom chip. I appreciate the help with unlocking the BIOS.

Make sure you have positioned the chip correctly, the marking on the board should be against the dot on the chip.
Inspect the surrounding area for blown or displaced components.
