    Dell Latitude 7400 EDC40 LA-G871P
Let me know if I posted this in the wrong thread. I just have a question. What programmer are you using to read the BIOS chip? I have the RT809F and I just bought ch341a v1.7. Neither one of these seem support the chip. The chip I am trying to read is WINBOND 25Q80DVSIG. Am I trying to read the right chip? I am new to programming.

Thank you for letting me know. I do not have any training in electronics. I know to look for a SOP8 chip. I guess I will have to take the motherboard out and look for it on the other side. If I knew that I would have not bought them off eBay. I have two that I plan to give to my grandchildren. Is there a way to know if it is a BIOS chip or not? I did a Google search and it did not tell me one way or another. All it brought up is the data sheet. The only thing I know to look for on that is the voltage.

Please ignore my post above to remove the password from the BIOS file. From my understanding the BIOS file is split between two chips on this laptop. I only have the dump from one of the chips in the post above. I will try to get a dump from the other chip and post again. Thank you.
The Service Tag and Express Service Code is in the zipped file.

greetings, I'm using this forum for the first time, if there are any mistakes on my part, I'm sorry. I am attaching the bios bin file of Dell Latitude 7400 edc40 la-g871p rev 1.0
service tag BH1C063. the problem is that the laptop won't turn on the screen. I tried with other bios from the forum, the screen turned on, but they were mostly locked. If someone can help me, I would be grateful.

It looks like your original BIOS is damaged.
Be careful when programming the chip.
If I program it with CH341A, be very careful that it is spelled correctly.
