Lenovo L340-15IRH Type 81LK Gaming/IdeaPad BIOS Problem

Hello,

3 weeks ago when I launched MEMU (android emulator for windows) it complained about virtualization is disabled and gave me bluescreen. I turned off the device and booted to bios from windows advanced startup. I changed a couple and settings and boom! black screen. Not the typical one, no backlight, windows doesnt start (no hdmi output etc), it just bricked. Didn't want to wait for lenovo so i gave it to a local shop. He said bios is corrupt and flashed a new one. After i got the device i found out that my second hdd is not detected. I thought it may be damaged and ordered new one ( This one )

But it did not solve any problems. And i noticed wired network doesn't working, not detected.

Today i discovered that there is a new bios update. Here are my bios photos and new bios screnshot:









As you may see some bios info is missing, product name, serial number etc.

Should I install new bios? Would it brick it again? Do you advise me to use bios modification tutorial in this thread -> https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=98038 and flash it?

You need the original BIOS of the machine. You have to ask the repair shop to fix the BIOS properly or at the very least to provide the backup. Hopefully they didn't erase it…

unfortunately there is no reply from him. lets say i dont want to transfer old serial vs info. Should or can I flash new version bios to this machine?

Flash the new bios, you will also be missing the same DMI information as the old one.

Hello! I have a Lenovo l340-15irh laptop (fg541 / fg741 nm-c362 rev: 1.0), replaced the power jack. It turned out that there is a short circuit on the LDO3 line. I replaced the damaged it8586e with a clean one. I did bios backups. I turned on my laptop, the it8586e chip was overwritten. Power button flashes 6/7 times, loop, flashes again 6/7 times and turns off. When turned on, Power lights up briefly and then goes off. I think there is a problem with the bios and the EC. I tried other bios and ec but same symptoms.

Could someone clean the ME region and make the ec file from the original bios?

i have a problem with this laptop bios too. I reflashed with clean BIOS, it worked but without DMI data . Can someone help me to solve that problem?

Hello everyone,good day. My laptop has no display issue. After flashing bios that i download from vinafix. It shows INVALID info in Product name, SN and MTM.



Can someone help me fix this?
