hp probook 430 g8 bios password protect : plugging the chip
Hello,
I have hp probook 430 g8 with a bios password, and I am having trouble to plug a ch341a onto it. I'm using a grip such as this one : https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/..._AC_SX679_.jpg but it does not properly touch the pins.
Is it mandatory to have the chip off the board ? Or weld onto the pins ?
Then, do I need to provide the forum with a software copy of the BIOS chip and the EC chip ?
Requests for password removal or BIOS repair for which the method is available atBIOS guides, methods, resources and toolswill not be tolerated anymore if you do not explain why you did not succeed.
I have the same laptop and would like to get the BIOS unlocked. Reading through here, there are conflicting opinions on whether I need to unsolder the bios or the EC chip (right next to BIOS) to do this. Can someone who has done it confirm with me please?
