I got a bricked Lenovo Legion Y740-17ICHG. The motherboard version is LA-G132P. Bios chip is a Winbond 25Q128JVSO.
I have attached the old BIOS dump, and would very much appreciate it, if you could be so kind and send me a new BIOS (preferably the most up to date version) with all DMI information transferred.
I thank you very much in advance for your efforts.
Post your original corrupt bios file. The file you posted has no DMI.

Thank you for checking my file out. Then I must have gotten the wrong BIOS chip. There is another one on the board, will download that also and post this evening.
No. You choose correct bios chip, but your file has no DMI. What did you do before ?

Yes, I noticed, I got it right the first time. I downloaded the contents of the second chip (which sits between the GPU and CPU labeled UG34), but it is only 1 Mb and the BIN starts with NVGIG, so I guess its firmware for the graphics card.
BTW, there is a third firmware chip on the back of the board labeled UT2, neard the audio section. I do not know exactly what it is, could be audio firmware or maybe some kind of external EC? Unfortunately there are no schematics for the board, so I do not know.
I have not done anything to the notebook, I bought it defective. It turns on, keyboard lights up, and there is fan spin, but then it power cycles indefinitely and doesnt post. The mainboard is horribly butchered though, so it is possible that the previous owner uploaded some bullshit into the chip, and thats why DMI information is missing. I have verified my BIOS read, it checks out, this is whats on the chip.
Could you send me a clean BIOS? I'll try that first and worry about DMI later.

I tried flashing your clean BIOS, but unfortunately this did not work. Very similar symptoms, laptop powers on, keyboard lights up, fans ramp up to 100%. No power cycling anymore though.
Seems very much like a BIOS issue, but could be something else. Do you have any ideas? Maybe I should try reflashing VGA BIOS?
Here's your new bios file, it's a virgin bios from Lenovo with your DMI and Windows Key. If your problem was related to bios, this file should works fine.
