    Help with Dell PFS extractor

Hello,I'm trying to extract dell BIOS from the firmware update from Dell support but each time i drag and drop the BIOS on Dell PFS extractor,I get an error message.

Is there something I'm not doing well or i need to download something else before i can extract?

Its a different type,it will not extract using PFS extractor.

Firstly you can extract a rom file by using the command line

                Alienware_m15_R2_m17_R2_1.16.1.EXE /writeromfile

The rom will be written, then it needs editing to the correct size. You can use AMI_PFAT_EXTRACT software to remove the PFAT header,it will not remove the end part (footer) so it will need further editing with a hex editor. It isn`t a full bios image,it is only a bios update !

Re: Help with Dell PFS extractor

YOU FIND THE EXTRACTED FILE AT THE SAME FOLDER OF Dell PFS extractor

Or if you want make a folder , put the dell exe and Dell PFS extractor in , than drag and drop the exe at Dell PFS extractor exe you will get the extracted files

Same story, changing partition with one folder including both files same story, running as administrator same story, changing names of bios files same story
Is Windows 10 Home a problem, maybe that should be a pro version?
I tried extractor from here and from labone site
