Yes, but it didn't work for me, I don't know where to insert the original file to create a patch, cmd only opened for two seconds, I installed python

                        Hi there,
I'm not sure if this is the right place - I'm quite new to this forum.

                        I have a thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 6 20KG-S3W819 with S/N PF-1GZ5NQ that is kinda bricked after a BIOS-reset.
When turning it on, there's a bootloop: Black, then Lenovo screen, then it turns off, then black, lenovo and all again.
It doesn't allow me to get into the BIOS, so I guess that it's kinda broken....

I've heard that there's a crisis mode and saw many tutorials, but none of them had exactly what I had. Most of them tell to rename a .fd file to <name of the crisis>.bin, but I only have a .FL1 and .FL2-file.
After seeing that they are just update files and not complete bios images, I wandered around the forums here to find a BIOS-File for my computer.

I formatted a usb-stick to F32 with a partition size of +128M and put the .bin file inside. After that, I did the Fn+R thing, but it didn't work. Same old bootloop...

                        So, I have 2 questions:
                        - Does somebody have the right bin file for me?
                        - What should I name it?

I'd really appreciate your help, dear badcaps-citizen.

                        Greeting

Hi, does anybody know how I should name the .bin file if I want to apply it through crisis mode with fn+R?
                        thanks in advance

There are 2 different bios update versions at support, a bios update CD and a windows executable. Download the exe ,extract it with Innoextract https://constexpr.org/innoextract/ ,inside the extracted folder there`s a file called mkusbkey.bat ,click on that to make a bootable flash drive

Thank you soooo much!!! It worked and I'm very happy now
Because all of the articles I found were so complicated, I thought "ahh, it couldn't be this easy" and never tried the bat file.

Every now and then, the bootloop happens again though and I have to repeat the Fn+R thing to be able to boot.
I checked every bios setting and reseted it, but it doesn't help. Guess that I will try to flash an update and if it doesn't work, I will buy a CH341A to directly flash it.

Thank you very much, dear SMDFlea
