    dell la-g717p 3 amber 5 white lights

    i have dell la-g717p the mec1418 ic was heating when i got the laptop and 3v was short.after changing the ic the board is powering on but i got no display and led is blinking in 3 amber 5 white continously.do i have to reprogram the io chip.if so please provide me with the bin file.i have attach the backup of both 8 mb and 16 mb bios.please help

          as i know, when you change the SIO chip you need to reprogram it if it's programmable.
          so here the 192kb EC file extracted from Dell website for your (Vostro 3590).

            Any updates on this, I have the same 3 Orange 5 White flashes.
            There was a short to ground on 5V rail. I replaced DC/DC switch (it was cracked possibly exploded) and fan capacitor as it was shorted to ground. The short is now fixed however there is still the same LED codes. No obvious signs of something wrong.
