Ahhh, sorry, searched online and it said the bios chip was to the left of the WWAN slot!

                Will take a look later!

                Cheers

Ok so Ive pulled the BIOS off the BIOS chip by UC2, see attached.

If someone can take a look and unlock it that would be great.

hmmm, the BIOS chip is a 25R256JVEN but my CH341A programmer only has 25Q256BV and 25Q256FV as an option when it detects the chip. Could this be the issue?

What is the point of creating an unlock file from a corrupted BIOS?
                            And then probably with deleting 000F100 – 000F4FF0 (h): 4000
                            Why not with 00FDAA 00FC00
I know on YouTube ********** offers an .exe that does this automatically.
I also know that it works on a Dell 5400, but it doesn't work on many newer models.
If the user writes this file to his notebook he cannot use it and it will no longer start.
Maybe SMDFlea should please take a look at this kind of behavior.

Hello I assume you are using the original software from ch431a, but try Neoprogrammer or ASProgrammer, both are better.

Thank you I will give them a go, but I think the chip is corrupt or died. It reads but takes a long time and when I write a bios to it (even the original) it comes with a verify error 😔
