AT power supply to replace power adapters

Anyone know of any issues or problems I might have using a AT power supply to replace several failed power adapters?

I have ton of devices that use power adapters and have had few die on me lately. Instead of spending $10 a pop or so to replace the failed adapters and to save clutter on multiple surge suppressor power strips I am considering just taking a good AT power supply and using it to feed several devices.

Any suggestions or feedback is welcome.

I can't think of any issues. As long as the amps are close enough.

I just came from a store that was selling 5V 2A adapters for $1.99.. And if you go to a dollar store or surplus place they often have a bin of 3/5/12 and such adapters for about the same.

You shouldn't run into any problems. Just make sure to load both the 12v and 5v rails to keep the voltages in check. If all your devices are one or the other, get a dummy resistor and some thermal tape and attach the resistor to the inside of the power supply case. I've done this and can give you more info/pictures if you'd like.

      Good luck!
