    child lock on LG TV

I have just repaired an LG PX3RVC-TA for a friend and the child lock is on, is it possible to unlock it without a remote control? some expert told me there was a battery which retained the memory, but I sure can't find one.

Hold MENU on TV and MENU on remote simultaneously to access the service menu. Then see if there's an option there or a factory reset.

Sorry, no idea without remote. Maybe in main menu if you can access it.

If its repaired just give it back to your pal. Then he can remove the parental lock on it.
Do NOT touch heatsinks when testing for voltages as they may be LIVE!

You can't access the menu with the lock on, and I'm sure my pal would love to be able to get the lock off but he has no remote either.

I'm guessing the child lock just prevents the TV's buttons from working? or is it an actual password?

Universal should work if the first.....menu--> special-->child lock-->off

or try holding input for 10 sec (I have no idea about that one)

And what does input and PR buttons do when set is off and on? (pressed together or simultaneously) (Def no idea on this either but hey worth a shot)
