    50PF7320A/37 Not turning on

We picked up a 50PF7320A/37 Philips plasma tv. Got it for free, so trying to fix it. Took off the back panel and found the classic 3300uf 10v caps with their tops bulged. So I was planning on replacing those. However, I can't seem to find the exact spec on those...

What tolerance do i need to purchase?

    Here is the manual.

I had trouble finding the power supply wiring diagram. I am very rusty on electronics, but know basics.

I pulled the three fuses i found, and tested them. All were good.

    Thanks.

    +/-20% is typical.
If you use Panasonic FC, FM or FR you cannot go wrong.
Just type "3300uF 10V fr" (or "fm" or "fc") into Digikey search and select the capacitor closest to the dimensions required.

thank you for your response. That is helpful. I found what i need. But just out of curiosity, is the exact spec in the shop manual? It would be good to learn how to read wiring diags.

The specification necessary - e.x. 3300uF 10V or 2200uF 25V - is printed on the capacitor. Just read that off. Note "ยต", the 12th letter of the Greek alphabet, meaning "micro", is often simplified to just "u".

Thank you. I knew the uf meant, but am hazy on the others mf, pf. Little confusing. I picked up a capacitor tester and new caps from Digitek. I ordered 3 just in case, though only need 2.

can you test a cap on the board, or does it need to be taken off first?

            Digitek? Do you mean digikey?

                Update:

So, I got my caps from digikey. Installed them saturday, and turned on TV. It is working great. It seems to take about 5 sec or so to get image and sound. I assume this is normal?

We are pretty excited with our new tv. though, the old 35" looks so small now...

We will need a stand for it since it does not come with one. Does anyone happen to have a stand that they are not using?

We will eventually build a stand for it. Don't want to mount it on the wall.

                Thanks for everyone's help.

                  Great.

5 seconds is fast for a plasma, or LCD. Mine (a Panasonic) takes about 10 seconds. Mostly nowadays it is the mini operating system on the processor booting up. The actual screen can be ready in less than a tenth of a second but it would have nothing to display.

How do I make a new post, where is the link/button to start a new query.
I have already made an introduction and the button has not yet shown up.

I have this same 50pf7320a/37 with 7 blinking lights, bought another power supply.
When first plugging in the tv ( with the Y-main and the X-main unplugged )
the VA starts out at about 65 DC volts and about 40 seconds later it is at zero.
I have absolutely no DC voltage on the VS at any time.
