    Hannspree HSG1075

    Hi all,

I'm new here but this site looks like there is a lot of good info and technical people.

I have a 28" Hannspree TV that I was using mostly as a monitor that worked one day, looked like the picture the next with all inputs. There is washed out colours and defined ghosting on the left half of the screen. I would hate to just toss it in the garbage so would like to fix if possible. Shopjimmy has a t-con board for this model but I'm not sure if that is the problem. An earlier post for this model on this board touched on the screen going to white but mine is only partially doing that.

Here are some videos of the problem.

Do you think it is the main board , panel or t-con board?

I can certainly post some board pictures later if needed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Hans

    Re: Hannspree HSG1075

May not be the same problem and possibility it is cables or tcon but sounds
very similar to this - Perhaps Budm will comment later - this was his reply
    to someone on another forum

Corrupted display on LCD monitor. I just purchased a used 28" Hanns-G LCD monitor off eBay. Photos of the monitor before shipping show it to be working fine, but when it arrived, the display is badly messed up (I have photos), with a faded zigzag pattern in the middle (top to bottom) and the screen fading or otherwise distorted on the right side of the screen (same zigzag pattern top to bottom). I have tried both the HDMI input and the VGA/D-SUB input using different cables. I tried the unit with both my PC and my cablebox with the exact same result. Here is one photo of what I am getting: http://www.mugsysrapsheet.com/temp/28hg-cablebox.jpg The monitor was well packed prior to shipping, and there is no visible damage to the unit. Any assistance is appreciated.

Those lines on the right side show sign of damaged T-CON board, part of the LCD panel assembly, nothing you can do but getting the new LCD panel. The bright section on the screen looks like the backlight lamp reflector got out off the guide channel.

      Re: Hannspree HSG1075

      Thanks for the reply.

T-con board is seperate from the panel so hopefully that is the issue as it can be replaced seperately. The backlight brightness is even when the t-con board is disconnected from the panel so seems more like it is not outputing any color data in the bright white areas.

Hannspree has a service center in Toronto that I am trying to get them to let me drop it off at since it is not worth shipping it anywhere. Will see what they say.
