Samsung UN50TU7000 - Random Reboot

Hi everyone, this model samsung tv works well until it randomly starts rebooting, it may do it within 5-10 mins after turning on or it may do it after a couple hours, sometimes it never does it, may work for days at a time.

It has one the these AIO boards :

I get 393dcv at the main cap see pic 2 and 12.9dcv at the stb test point as seen in pic 4 - this is with tv on and working.

Any ideas or help is appreciated.

Even though the picture is perfect when the TV works, that's a bummer if it really is the panel, i tried searching for the model on here but it gives me 0.00 results?? Thanks for your suggestion.

Panel as he said, this board is also especially crap, all in one junk goes bad too.

Could be those things, I would start with simple stuff, unplug tv, hold power button on tv down for 30 seconds, replug and retry, no joy, do a simple firmware update, turn off all eco mode and power saving settings, disable hdmi cec. Any of that crap could be the problem.

Another experiment, point a fan at the back of the tv, see if it stops turning off, if it does then probably the bga chip overheating and causing problems.

Also try if you can, unplug any hdmi or component, rca cables and just use a simple tv antenna, a bad cable can cause problems.

I feel i'm up to trying this, the cpu heatsink gets extremely hot in no time, you could fry an egg on that thing.

I have been running a blu-ray player on hdmi 1 maybe i can try another cable on a different hdmi input, tv antenna idea is good to try as well.

Ok, my thought is that's the problem then, they shouldn't get fire-hot in a second.

I think this happens a lot, specially since they went to lead free solder, they say it's good for environment, but not good for much else. The solder balls overheat, when they cool back down they can lose connection and cause issues. It's the constant cycles overheat, cool down, lose connection. Not a perfect solution but have seen diy reflows that have lasted a long time when coupled with a fan solution blowing right on the bga heatsink.

I think i will somehow put a small 12vdc fan over the cpu, will also try my reflow torch as well, maybe heat it up in hopes of it somehow making a better connection, and see how that goes.

Need to be careful with the reflow temps, too low and it won't help but too hot and it will cook the chip, youtube has a lot of diy reflows, some better than others no doubt. There has been a lot of yacking here about it too. Might be able to find a thread here in search but may be hard since the retooling they did, search is a LOT less effective.
