LG 50ga7400 programming

Is there a way to bypass the google account when setting up this tv?
I tried the settings option with a regular antenna but it says need to select built in tuner.
when i select the built in tuner it doesnt detect anything

My friend doesnt have a google account or internet service he only wants to use this to watch regualr air channels

Thanks but i tried that but it says i need to select the built in tuner but when i do that it says lineup not available and when i click next it it says "unfortunately videoinput setup has stopped"

create for him any profile with google as fake name and birth.. just the zip code keep it correct... activated the tV with new profile first then no need online at his home when he use it.

Maybe make note/write down details of the profile, in case you ever have to fiddle with it again.

I chatted with support and they said i cant bypass google account activation.
i did ask them if i can use the tv without google account and they had me try the same steps i ttied then thry said i have to take in for repair lol
i will create a google account for my friend and see if that works

Good call, I think the tv is working correctly, they just don't make it very easy for folks to operate.

It's very poor policy of LG to need connection to the f*** of goofle, i think the only way to gently accompany it inside his *** is to enter service mode through tablet/smartphone + ir blaster + wav files and search a bypass option for that.. salutes..

Most likely the TV does not correspond to your region, is the model number "LG 50ga7400" written correctly?

One thing that might make things easier is go in settings>system>Power>power on, and set it to the device you want to see at boot.

What are you using for an antenna to recieve the off air channels? You must have one connected, then scan the off air channels and you will recieve whatever is broadcasting in your local area.

Yes trying to receive air channels but it wont let me get to the scan function as i mentioned in previous replies

goof point from R_J .... first i wounded how it come LG asking for Google account... web OS had nothings to do... other things old TVs if they are working with air signal T will never catch any signal if the country / area had T2 signal.
