    Hi guys i have just picked this tv up free, fault finding so far it has backlights that stay on when main board disconnected, it has no image on screen and keeps re starting if i disssconnect either one of the two ribbons tv does not re boot, i have tried disconnecting the two ribbon cables (one at a time) still no image on either half, whats my next fault step finding the fault main board number bn94 16103h thanks guys

    Place a jumper, then check with the cables disconnected.

      sorry lotas before i try this did you see my edit with either one of the two ribbon cables disconnected the tv stays on

          update after some more testing i have found its a lcd panel issue on left half of screen, if i tape certain lines on the lcd connecting flex i can get a image but cannot get rid of all the lines so i will strip this set for parts as i would never sell a tv with a known lcd fault.

            Yep, can't recall those symptoms ever being anything but a panel issue. Same old, sometimes you get lucky and it's a component on the driver board that's bad.

              One time for me. A Samsung repair tech came and replaced a 50inch under warranty and brought a NEW panel. Put the board into the new panel from old TV and gave the rebooting

              He stuck new board into old tv (he had both with him) and then it stopped. He said it was very specific to the 50 inch of that year. But other than that ... Me neither
