    Samsung pn50b450b1dxza horizontal lines

This set had no picture all voltages were good except vs. I unplugged the y Main and vs came up to 209. I replaced the y main and the set fired right up.
The set has horizontal lines. I have cleaned and reset the ribbons, with no change. Give me the bad news about the panel or could it be something else.

Textbook mis-seated ribbon. You say you have reseated them but they are really hard to get right. I would pull out that one and try it again.
Looks like you also have a thin red line on the right of the panel, THAT is a bad panel for sure.

Ok Ill give it another try. Yes I have 1 vertical line that changes color with the scene. Looking like I may have some boards to sell. Thanks Tom.

I finally got the ribbon seated right. Too bad the vertical line is still there. I am disappointed that I have to part it out. At least I know all the boards are good.

I'm not so sure you have to part it out. I've sold a plasma before with a bad vertical line. (It's a rare fault; it's one of the few panel failures plasmas have, vs LCD which has a high panel failure rate.) I got about 30% less than I would normally, the person I sold it to just wanted a big screen to watch football on it. I still made a decent profit, as the TV was cheap (the seller didn't mention the line.) It would bug me, I couldn't use a TV like that, but some people don't really mind. Plus it's pretty faint.

Samsung QN70Q6DTA Ghost or horizontal lines after tape fix horizontal line
            by Ihandyrepair
            Hi guys

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the...

            Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines
            by Rubenlily
            Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

            Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA vertical bars/horizontal lines

I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

            Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA Horizontal lines

I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...
