Panasonic (HP) Plasma Green/Red Noise on Left Half of Screen

I just picked up 2006 HP Plasma with some snow (Red and Green) on the left Half of the screen. It's very visible with black screens.

The seller said the screen was perfect and now is out of sight and not returning emails. So, it looks like I will have to see if I can troubleshoot.

No idea about plasmas but good in electronics so I can troubleshoot if I know where to look.

Any tips would be GREAT!! Thanks so much!

Thanks! I just took the back cover off yesterday and vacuumed up all dust while checking for burned parts or bulged caps. And... low and behold, the picture noise is gone.

Not sure if it was because it was run with the cover off, the dust, or just coincidence that whatever was failing went back to good at the same time I performed the maintenance and check. Hopefully it doesn't come back.

I did see a few caps that I wondered about but it was VERY hard to tell if they were bulged. If so it was EVER so slight.

Also turns out the screen is made by LG (sticker on the inside of the TV) and not Panasonic as the seller had stated.

I double checked the Va and Vg while I was in there.

      Model: CPTOH-0709
