Samsun UN55D8000 Picture issue

Top 1/2 of display is lighter than bottom 1/2 of display (or top 1/3 is lighter than bottom 2/3).
Does anyone know if this is a T-Con issue or panel (bonding) problem?

Thanks, most online forums discuss the latter and common issue with this model.

More likely the tv uses top and bottom led strips.
The bottom set of leds are not lighting up.

Yes I'd say thats a panel fault.
