    Samsung main board compatibility

I have a UN60D6420UFXZA that has a strongly suspected main board issue -I posted in another ongoing thread about whether I might be able to use a similar one that is from a UN60D6000SF, that board and mine both have the number BN41-01587E right into the board,, mine was labeled as well with BN97-06022C as well.

Checking various sites online that sell boards I have come across cross referencing that says that the number BN94-05115A has compatible numbers ending in C,D,and E which can be substituted. The number for Samsung tv UN60D6000SF uses a main board with the number BN94-05113F which apparently can use one of the other boards, such as D and E suffix.

ShopJimmy and others show this as possible, I did notice that the 6000SF is not 3D capable whereas the 6420UF I have is, would that make a difference?

I see two of the F boards for a lot cheaper than the more common E and am trying to find out if I can use it. Anyone have knowledge of whether this is possible?

The boards all have the same configuration and connections, another model that usually has the E board is UN60D6450UF. It gets a bit seemingly complicated!

I am hoping someone here can give some advice. I posted this separately for more exposure.

I finally noticed that the second connection on the right side, from the bottom is not the same, I counted 8 pins to the board versus 9 on mine, and it is not the same design so I think it is obviously not going to work. The wires go to the control buttons ( power etc. ) so not sure what difference there could be.

I believe that connector is for the button/IR control. Definitely not compatible. Most likely your TV has hard push buttons and the model that this board came out of is soft buttons so there's quite a bit of difference with the voltages and I/O controls.

What exactly is wrong with your main board?

Did I leave the soldering iron on?

freakaftr8 - I initially thought that perhaps it was a version of my main board I could use, so scratch that idea! I have another thread here regarding this tvs failure to turn on:

          https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=64411

I obviously do not want to confuse the issue with another thread and so far all indications are that it is in all probability the Main board. No front indicator light, turns on by itself when plugged in, no response from remote or power on button. I mention this in that thread along with voltage readings. If you have not read through it perhaps you might want to take a look and post there, I will be purchasing a main board as soon as I can - figure that I mind as well buy a refurbished one at 105.00 as the next cheapest is 85.00 used.

Just trying to spend the least amount possible naturally, if it solves the problem great, I can only hope of course!
