Panasonic TC-P50X1 Sound No Picture

Hello there got this Panasonic Plasma television. T.V. was working fine and then no picture. For a minute it would get sound but know it will come on for about 10 seconds and then shut off. Seems to be getting power but the front red light is just blinking red.

Count the No. of Blinks as this would give a clue as to what the problem may be.

It is just continuous no code.

Panasonic Plasma TVs usually have a SOS code associated with the TV symptoms. Watch it carefully it should be coded. This will tell us where to start. Do you have any knowledge on using a DMM and soldering skills?

You could have up to 13 blinks before the sequence repeats

As R_J says.

Usually when a plasma tv turns on and you still get sound you got bad bga solder under the gpu. Causes either vertical lines or a pink/purple picture or no picture at all.

So count the blinks before it stops for 1 second and starts over again.
