    Samsung UN60H7150AF Power Supply

I have a Samsung 60" with a bad power supply (there is no boost). The power supply part number is BA44-00716A.. The diodes and the MOSFETS all check out good. The PFC IC (SPC7011) is not getting any VCC (S/B ~12V). There is another IC that is in the circuit that I can find no information about. Here is a picture of the device.

I'm not sure which number is the part number and which one is the date code and the FUJI ELECTRIC site has nothing on either.

    Can anyone identify this part?
    Does anyone have a datasheet?
Does anyone have a schematic for the PS?

    All help will be appreciated.

    I wonder if it's a FA1A60N/Fa6B20N ?

It is Fuji Current Resonant Control IC.

So the PS-ON is always present, correct? If it is then I would trace the VCC pin of the PFC IC back to the switched regulator circuit that is turned on by the output side of the opto which is turned on when PS-ON is present.

There is nothing on the output connector. It appears that the Low Side driver is dead on the 6A01. The High Output (HO) is active, the Low Output (LO) is dead - see pic.

Does anyone have one of these for sale?

If I can get one quick, I can get this TV back in service. Otherwise, I'll have to take a gamble and order from China (I can't find any US distributors).

So right now you do not even have STBY 8V (13V when PS-ON is present) at all on jumper JP911?
Since the board has pulled up resistors for self-test, what happen if you disconnect the main board from power board?

There is nothing on connector JP911. Because the LOW SIDE driver is dead, nothing is getting through the xformer. Therefore, the whole secondary is dead.

So what DCV do you have on VH and VCC pin right now?
VH provides the kick start-up Voltage to bring up VCC to startup point, the spec sheet on the link does not provide the startup Voltage spec, need to do more research on full spec of the IC next. I expect it to be 15 ~18V range.

                  Re: Samsung UN60H7150AF Power Supply

Here are the voltages on those pins:

                  VH - 99V
                  VCC - 11V

The way I understand the circuit, is HO and LO toggle the DC high voltage to energize the xformer. I have that app note and I have been unsuccessful in finding a datasheet. In the app note, there is a sample application circuit, which is similar to what is on the board.

To me 11V seems to low for the IC to startup to get it running.

I thought so too, but I checked other LLC controllers and 11V is right in the middle of the typical VCC range (9 - 15V).

BTW, you may want to check the capacitance of the DC Blocker/Coupling cap CM803 to see if the capacitance is still OK or not, that cap in that section of the circuit are common failure in lots of Samsung power supply boards.

I just noticed an error in my original post. The power supply model is BN44-00716A, not BA44-00716A.

That 11 volts VCC you are measuring comes from the ic's internal startup cell, the run voltage will come from DM809, check the diode and the parts between it and the ic's vcc.
Do you have and DC voltage on JP885, that jumper is connected to DM809

Sorry to hijack this thread - I have the same board with 10.4 VDC on JP885
                              0 VDC on STDBY

Any hints as to where to look next?
