Hi there,
I'm a AI researcher from China and have been interested in EE for nearly 20 years now, although I'm in my 30s. The reason I found badcaps is because my girlfriend's laptop (technically, my ex-girlfriend) has gone dead, while I can't find any reliable replacement part to fix it.
So glad that several posts here are related to the issue. Hope to join to forum and fix the machine ASAP

Hi everyone, and thank you for welcoming me to your big forum. I am a fan of electronics, since I was a child I have always tried to repair things before throwing them away, my biggest mistake was not studying in specialized schools for what turned out to be a passion (electronics), but studying as a school teacher. Forgive me if I am not up to some members that I have read on the forum, I try to learn and understand more and more.Comment

Hello all! I found your forum because I was searching for repair possibilities for my Vizio M492i-B2 TV. It appears that you have been down this road on a few occasions in the forum so I thought I’d join to learn more.
Our TV went completely dead while watching with no sign of life. I went out and bought a newer model only to get into an epic battle with my wife over the lack of clarity and bad viewing angle and white washing of the newer model vs the old. Since I could not compare due to the other tv being dead, I decided to return the newer one and repair the dead one.
I hope with some of your guidance, I will be able to achieve this mission! Cheers!Comment

Hey all....been lurking for a while now, mainly reading up on repair experience on the old Gateway LP2407 monitors. I've successfully recapped four of them and with the help of this forum discovered that two more that I have that have no power no display actually have faulty voltage regulators. Thanks!!
