Hi, new member here. Just stumbled upon this site trying to fix my TV. I'm a marketing person but I love to tinker around with all my tech stuff and trying to figure out how these things work. Been doing it since I was a kid and I've broken a lot of things trying to figure things out. Jumped down the rabbit hole and I've been trying to learn new things ever since. Now I've had a lot of experience fixing things but I realized I need to learn how to look at capacitors and PCB components to fix most of tech nowadays. I have a lot of stuff lying around waiting to be fixed so hope to learn from the more seasoned people here. But for now, I hope to be able to fix my TV since I think it should be an easy fix I just can't figure out which part went bad. -Chris from Manila, PH

Hello All, I'm just a guy that repairs computers and electronics also data recovery etc. I came across this forum looking to help a customer out in need. I don't consider myself a specialist I just do this for the enjoyment of going to work everyday (started in 1992 or 93). I live in the Pacific Northwest in Oregon, it's a beautiful state but the politics stinks here (enough said). Hope I can be a productive person here and learn much more from all of you. New, ME by trade, mostly fix crap my kids break or cheap stuff I buy randomly. Need all the boardviews. In Tulsa, OK- Retired Army.

Hi all, I am very new to this forum thing but this community seems real legit.

My name is Grimly and I've been in more industries than I have fingers on my hands. I am currently working as one of 2 IT technicians at Vodacom for Tyger dealers Vodacom.

I used to be a Roof designer/engineer before covid hit but luckily I am super passionate for hardware and software. It doesn't matter what it's made for or what it does, if it ticks or whines I am there in no time to diagnose and attempt a repair.

I've been working on computers since I was really young, about 8 or so. I'm 24 yrs old and my passion keeps growing with every new thing I learn.

So yeah that basicly sums me up, there's probably so much more I can type but I have a computer to fix lol so see ya!

Hey! I registered looooong time ago but nefer found the spare time to introduce myself so I kept lurking and reading LOL

I work as a nurse in Granada (Spain), but I do TV/laptop/cellphone fixing from time to time, worked for 2 years as a computer technician but have no former education in electronics.

Hope to learn as much as I can from you guys, and rest assured I'll be asking for help from time to time!

Hola amigos,mi mundo en la electronica empezo hace muchos años,pero por circunstancias de la vida ,tube que dejarlo ,yo era reparardor de tv antenista instalador deesde que tenia 16 años,ahora con esto del confinamiento,tengo mas tiempo libre, y he recuperado mi gran pasion la reparacion de electronica,tropece en youtube con unos videos de reparacion de laptop yyyyy bommmmm mi cerebro exploto volvieron los recuerdos y las ganas de seguir aprendiendo,conlas pocas herramientas que dispongo me pongo a investigar en alguna laptop vieja que me dan mis amigos, y me lo paso como un niño chico con un jugete nuevo esto es la lecheeeee quiero massssss quiero seguir a prendiendo.
