Hi, I'm happy to find this forum full of knowledge and friendly advice. I could use some guidance with a TV problem that I will post about soon.

My philosophy: it's better to fix what's broken than to throw it away and buy a new one.

My electronics knowledge is limited, but I've opened computer cases and swapped boards and disk drives many a time. That may make me more brave and stupid than wise, but hey - I had enough wisdom to come here for advice.

I look forward to your responses to my posts.

Hi. i am new to here. i like fix electronic things from i was young. from beginning, start assamble desktop computer 25 years ago, connect computer to printer, then learn to use multimeter to find the broken power supply. then i move to IT area, work in IT. two month ago, i found a broken electronic lawner, and from youtube, found replace the carbon brushes, and then the lawner start work.
after that, i got i broken led TV and try to fix it. when i looking for "LED TV backlight off", i found this forum. so lukcy, i saw so many people in here, share idea, ask question.

Have been fixing Macs for a while, have been thinking of branching out to other laptops, so this forum will be a great help.

Hello! I'm an IT student majoring on Systems Support and Networking and one of my hobbies is teaching myself electronics by taking random broken things and trying to fix them (Also by watching how other people do it on Adrian's Digital Basement and such) :P I always try to make do on my own, but when things get real bad I need a hand, soooo here I am. I promise to not bother people much!

Another small time repair tech here. I mostly do iphone logic board repair and iPod Classic board repair, but I get a couple of Macbook board repairs in a year and have a hard time getting my hands on free schematics and .BRD files for the newer models so I thought I'd try here!
