Hello World
I am Plonks, from sunny Cape Town, South Africa. I started out studying in the IT-Field with A+, N+. After many years of doing IT-related jobs, I became bored. This is where my journey started with tinkering around with electronics. I had bougt a NAD 302 Amplifier, and after owning it for a while, the one channel started to have erratic interference on it. Needless to say, that was the first Amplifier I had recapped, and started learning more and more about electronics.
a great hobby indeed
cheers
Plonks

Hi, I do electronics repair as a hobby, I am an EE and work in semiconductors, but repair has nothing to do with my professional life. I do have quite some experience in many fields and have a decent electronics lab including SMD rework equipment, digital storage scope, microscope, ...
Thanks for hosting this forum

I also returned to this forum, I learned a lot of things here, I'm not a great specialist, like many here. But from what I know, I try to pass on to those who have not reached this level. also, I am not a very good English speaker, I often use myself as a translator, so that I can understand. That's why I apologize if I don't write correctly in my posts. The forum must go on. thanks Topcat to the other moderators

Hi, I feel a little bit awkward, but I'll introduce myself to the forum too . I am 18 years old I admire how electronics works and I want to understand them deeply. That's why I'm in the University ! Of course, electronics expertise is something that requires a great deal of hands-on practice and learning. I hope in this forum I can find the right help to continue my journey in electronics
