Hi, my name is Nick. I'm a bass player living in Brooklyn, New York. I am also an electronics hobbyist I've mostly built through hole stuff like since modules and guitar effects. I've had this dead class D Bass amp lying around for years Finally decided to either try and fix it or get rid of it. So of course, I'm trying to fix it and that's what I'm doing here and will be posting about it soon. I found out about this forum from a YouTube channel called learn electronics repair.

Hi all i'm Nick from Melbourne Australia ,i would call myself an amateur or hobbyist but have been repairing things for as long as i can remember from basic electronics to repairing and modding game consoles.
A jack of all trades but master of none, also have a few car restorations on the go with a long, long term project 1958 Holden that i've had for nearly 40 years and a 74 Kombi.
I have repaired a couple of tv's and pc monitors with the common capacitor replacements and my latest project that brings me here is an LG 60"plasma that appears to need caps replaced as well, in search for info i came across the same model with similar issues that a member here is trouble shooting.

Greetings, been running a computer shop for a while and tired of replacing parts and instead started repairing them. (less e-wase) Now I'm hooked. There is much pleasure in finding the fix for a non-working electronic device. Almost like playing a video game, which is how I got into the repair business in the 90s. I find this forum to be a great resource and hopefully I can one day help instead of being helped all the time.
