Hi all, I'm Virgil a 44 year old enthosiast on repairing electronics. i was 4 when i started soldering when i was a boyscout and continued this passion with a few breaks in between the years. when i was 14 i was modding Ps1 consoles for friends and family so they could play games from all regions. when i got older i was interested in youtube video's about people who are fixing consoles and other electronics. So now i've got my attic room with a full setup of hot air, microscope and much more. already fixed many Ps4 and Xbox one consoles, also DSlites, headset and laptops have been fun to fix. I'm still learning a lot every day but that is the whole challange right

Hello,
Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.
Model number is TH-50PZ85U
Please PM me if you can help, I'll try and use the search function on here, but I'm usually hopeless at that.
Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.
Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.
I also hear a few clicks.
I also think they said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.
Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen, but I'm stuck on check the OSD, this is the first step.
Would like to attach pictures on here, but have no clue on how to do that, think one took, Wow.
I'm not very good at forums or computers.
Also, will try to find an open post to put this issue in or start a new post.
Currently working on watching a few u toob videos for troubleshooting this.
Trying to avoid filling up our landfills with electronic devices.

Hey there!
I am Zachary, an IT Tech for a school district out of Louisiana.
We're in a bind where we have too much tech for our own good, but no schematics from our vendors.
I'm here in hopes of reaching out and hoping to find said schematics, as well as help in other aspects with Chromebooks.
Been in this field for a couple of years now, and the overwhelming amount of help one can find out on the internet is staggering and vast;
however, when you have a device you KNOW is being widely used, but cannot find documentation online for? Infuriating. So, I'm hoping
to help remedy that just a little bit, and help out myself and any other school districts in need of documentation we are having children
and adults use every single day.
