Hello everyone! I accidentally came across the forum when I was looking for information on new BIOS chips. I really like solving puzzles, especially those that few people have encountered. Right now I am doing parameterization and firmware for new Volkswagens, MEBs. Apart from dealers, few people can repair them and, as a rule, each car is a new puzzle. Along the way, I also have to deal with diagnostic equipment and laptops on which I need to install software.
Hi all. I started working with computers in1986 in a mixed PC/Unix environment where it fell to me to sort out the hardware and software issues and continued from there to IBM support and then HW/SW consultancy and am now a hobbyist that started fixing broken kit so my kids could have decent gaming PC's. Kids aren't kids anymore but the habit has stuck with me. I'm happy/appalled how much great kit ends up trashed, more fun for me. Though i do miss the days when components were a size you could see without a microscope.
I am a security systems technician who is working on an older HP Probook laptop. I need a link to download RCUnlocker as I need to reset the BIOS password. Any help is appreciated
