Hello everyone!
My name is TechNomad, and I'm thrilled to join this vibrant community. Like many of you, I'm passionate about technology, learning, and sharing knowledge with like-minded individuals.
A little about me: I have a background in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, having worked in the field for about 8 years. My interest in tech started young—my first computer was a hand-me-down Commodore 64, and from there, I never looked back. These days, I spend my time tinkering with AI tools, testing smart home gadgets, and researching new ways to enhance digital security.
Outside of work, I'm an avid gamer (RPGs and strategy games are my favorites) and a casual coder. I also love discussing emerging scientific discoveries and their potential societal impacts.
I stumbled upon this forum while searching for a space to discuss tech trends and exchange ideas. The discussions here seem insightful and engaging, and I'm excited to contribute to the conversation.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and diving into some fascinating topics together!
So, that's me in a nutshell—what's your story? 😊

Hello, Lapre here.
I just found out about badcaps.net from a curious search about a .bin file i found in my c:\ drive. It happens to be a N75_0162.bin file. It appears its a file for my system firmware.
While i was studying for my CompTIA IT Fundamental+ exam, I learned about BIOS security and proceeded to set up one for my PC, unfortunately I didn't write the password somewhere and forgot the password. More heartbreaking is the fact that virtualization was not enabled before this incident. This has made it practically impossible for me to install virtual machines on my PC to enhance my Cybersecurity learning. I hope i will find solution here.
Another reason i am excited I found this community is that I like to tinker with electronics (not an expert, I just love it) and I can see a lot of the people here like to tinker with stuff too 😁.

I'm in Fremont, CA.
I have just recently got into GPU/motherboard repair and have been having a blast being able to prevent many things from just becoming e-waste.
My resources are very limited in terms and hope that this forum will allow me to continue fixing and enjoying this wonderful hobby.
