I've been an electronics hobbyist for the last 20 years or so.
Been repairing mostly HiFi gear and televisons, including a lot of CRTs back in the day.
I have a degree in electronics and have previously worked as a service technician in various hospitals and telecom companys.
My current job is not in this field though.

I'm a 32 year old tattoo artist on the south west coast of Scotland.

I'm one of those weirdos that instead of paying someone to repair my tech, I'll spend weeks learning how to do it myself.

I'm very much a beginner when it comes to understanding tech/electronics on a deeper level, and any understanding I have on these things is usually gained by trying to fix something very specific when it breaks.

I enjoy the challenge of fixing broken things and modding things.
I joined on the advice of a friend that for future projects I'd get a wealth of info from chatting in here.
