I'm a cs student from India, I know nothing of computer hardware. Recently my beloved laptop 15ARH7's power went off suddenly. It isn't turning on. I really can't afford a new one. The repair guy is saying he can't find schematics for this model. Can any kind soul please help me?

No smoke at the time of shut down,no sign of life, no charging light.
But there was a slight heat below the right fan after the incident for hours. Then it went normal.

You are my only hope now!!!

Hi,
I'm here because of a faulty motherboard. A short in the 3.3V line that I could not resolve. Unable to remove the power caps (and keeping them intact) and not willing (or probably able) to remove dozens of MOSFETs. So I searched the internet for videos, found none but ended up here 😎

I'm an electronics designer originally but quit my job in 1998 after 10yrs experience.
Now its a hobby to repair stuff for as cheap as possible (I'm Dutch)...
Interesses are Audio (built my own nonFB-SE-tube and non-FB mosfet amps),
Gaming (latest PC with RTX4090/7800x3d in VT20 glass cube with horizontal mb),
(withheld) Knowledge (see my facebook page and group) and the last years I follow the
War in Ukraine.

This must be enough to earn the right to post 😉
No pun intended as my mb refused to post

I'm no expert with technology or software, just took me 15 minutes to find the sign-up bit!, but I have been in the murky waters of computers for a life time, so it seems.
My experience in computers date back to BBC Micro, Amstrad PC512 and Sinclair ZX81's.
Worked on the first IBM PC when they were just called PC's and when they just hit the market after the Apollo moon shot!
So a Jack of all computers but master of none!
I still have an old Magnavox Odyssey games console in my loft.
I thought I would have retired by now, but no, still working on Dell's, HP's, IBM and anything else that comes my way.
Waiting for Quantum computers but think I'll be long gone by then.
