As a kid, I fixed a few discarded TVs. (Got a tube-based color one to work!)
Used to work on pro cameras and VCRs, but not so much lately...

(So, It took awhile, but I think I snagged a good screen name :-)

Hey everyone!

Glad to finally be part of Badcap – I've been lurking for a bit and figured it's time to actually jump in. I've always enjoyed tinkering with electronics (even if it sometimes ends in smoke 😅), and I really appreciate how much knowledge is shared around here.

Right now, I'm trying to diagnose what I suspect is a dead RTX 3080 (rip?), but beyond that, I'm here to learn, get better at troubleshooting, and maybe even contribute something useful down the line. Looking forward to geeking out with all of you!

After a frustrating call with Gigabyte, it seems to save these parts from become e-waste, we have to do everything ourselves.
