Hi all.
I'm pretty new to component level repair, so much so that I can't even list all the different types of capacitors. Years ago I was debating whether to go into computer science and electrical engineering or computer networking and systems administration. I chose the latter. I wouldn't say I regret my decision, I just wish I could have done both. Over the years I've messed around with some component level repairs - some were even successful - but I found that there's a serious lack of information resources available, especially for cheaper equipment which tends to break more often.
I'm excited to have found this community and hope to gain some knowledge and eventually maybe even contribute.

Hello my name is Doug. I have been doing pc and basic electronic repair for 16 years. I have just really started to get serious in tv repair. I also do micro soldering on cellphones and other devices.

I'm Curtis, living and running a computer repair shop in Germany. hoping this site and group of members could help me improve my skills. Purely self taught, so I can be a mess when it comes to the deep things of computer repair. But not doing to bad either. Currently skilled at the basic stuff I want to go onto logicboard repair, liquid damage, micro solder and most of all understanding Schematics.

Hi my name is Jonathan and I have been fixing stuff for years be it arcades, crts(yes I still have a rejuvenator), cars, motorcycles, garage doors, ovens, pretty much anything broken. I have fixed other flat screens before but my 70 vizio is driving me nuts.
