      Hello everyone!

My name is Micah...a little about myself...I separated from the Navy and am currently a part time airplane mechanic down in Florida while finishing up my bachelor's in electrical engineering full time. I'm finishing up my junior year and getting into the brutal upper division courses. I like to tinker and while the books help with some of the theory, there is nothing like hands on playing around with stuff to really make it stick. I am currently working on a Phillips tv that is really stumping me at the moment...that is how I ended up here. I saw a post for a similar problem and it seemed like this would be a good place to learn some things!

        Hello Everyone!
I am Ador from the Philippines. I was involved on Offshore Oil Industry and I took a lot of trainings in Aberdeen, Scotland. Recently, I shifted to LPG Tankers as a Marine Electro Tech. Last month, I passed my ETO assesment here in the Philippines and according to STCW standards, such position is being recognized world wide. Most of the time, I will be onboard LPG tanker vessels with limited internet access, so please accept my advance apology if I will not always be around to enjoy the benefits in this forum. However I will try my best to keep in touch. TIA!

Hey what's up... I have a PANASONIC 55" LED / LCD TV Model # TC-55AS680U that I replaced the T-CON board on --- TV worked for 7 days than went out with steady flashing led.... continuous counted up to 50 a few times to make sure there was the 1 - 14 count situation... Anyways not sure I should post about this here so sorry if its a no no... I will keep reading but if anyone can let me know if this means a main board issue or what not that would be great....

"... to make sure it was not the 1 - 14 led service display" --- it's just a steady red blink once every 3 seconds....

                Hi,

Steve from England, I have some experience with testing and replacing electronic components from my job as a radiometric instrument mechanic but I'm relatively new to it having only been in the job for about 12 months. I was an electrical maintainance craftsman for 4/5 years before that. I've got 0 experience with TV's etc which is why im here my dads TV has broken and I said I would try and repair it before he has to fork out hundreds for a new one

Hi all, I'm a newbie to electronics repair, trying to get into soldering and circuits by repairing all of the broken TVs that I keep finding thrown out at the local recycling center.

I hope to take advantage of the knowledge here and hopefully one day contribute my own.

Hi all I spent most of my adult working life designing PCB's for all sorts of electronics. I took the NRI radio and TV repair course back in the 80's. I am now retired and I am currently trying to repair a Syncmaster 245BW monitor that has been loyal for 9 years hate to let it go and I'm hoping to find the answer on this board. Thanks for allowing me to join.

I have a great interest in component level repair and looking to start off by cutting my teeth on TV power board repairs to get familiar with the larger level components and work my way down in size!
