fumblin around trying to find answers basically , i have an old machine at work and trying to breathe life into it again i have 2 what look like caps in shape, maroon in color have the markings of 100/16 ek 7 x i think on top nothing else elkutec made the board they are attached to but anywho hi

Introduction

Hi, DONSTUCK here (a newbie). I've decided to join your forum and ask for help at the same time.
About me...a retired 74 yr old electrical engineer with a deep curiosity about anything and everything electrical or mechanical. I seem to fill most of my "spare" time by fixing anything a friend or relative has that breaks!
My son left a TV with me that has a pincusion problem. It is an RCA 27V414T that has a board part number ATC010A. If anyone has a full or partial schematic or service manual they can share I would appreciate it.

Hey Everyone my name is Patrick, I am one to take on challenges and I dont like not being able to fix something. My background is in Computer Science and I am currently a System Specialist for a telecomunications company.I recently acquired a broken TV that I am going to fix. I have exhausted my limited techincal knowledge so I signed up here to attain help.

This is a great site and I have read many threads I believe this site has the expertise to help me through my issues.

I must be a bit slow because I am having a lot of problems doing my first post on here. I am very new to electronics, but learning as much as I can. I hate not being able to repair stuff. I found this site while looking for info on repairing my monitor, and now I know that I know not a thing. So that will mean that I will have a lot of learning to do. Oh I built a sat receiver way back when from a solder by number kit and have been hooked since , tho I never had a lot of time to learn anymore so I have some self taught basics. My first computer was a atari and I still have it, thinking that a mod would be kinda cool to do with it.

Hope to fix my Panasonic 46" plasma. Its got the stripes.. Vertical banding. Three months after warranty. I live in Amsterdam and work as a application manager. The IT guy..

Hi i am javaid i live in Holland well i am still very young only 60 years have passed by me
years back i worked for sony for ten years in uk and then moved to Holland and left electronics for hospitality services.Now repairing is hobby and free for friends and who cant afford it well this is enough for today.oo yes this is first try.

Hello, my name is Artem Pylypchuk,
I'm into math, physics, biology and IT (certain parts of it). I'm also very much into music, vinyl sound and sometimes make tube guitar preamps (though I suck at guitar, violin and panpipe /Ukrainian:sopilka/, mostly because I was never actually good with any of them, unfortunately). Also, in engineering, I'm interested in SMPS technology (topologies) and DSP for software radio.
I do kendo, skateboard and work as an "academic research writer". I also study Japanese. I dropped out of university (major in physics and minor in biology) at the end of 3rd year.
I think of myself as of an emerging multidisciplinary scientist and entrepreneur, ha-ha.

My name is Omar and Im currently majoring in Network Engineering at a technological college. I am in my 20s. I repaired, diagnosed and built computers ever since I was around 10yrs old in our shed. Till this day I do it as a side business along with school.

Nice to see a site that contains all the resources I need rather than talk in 10 other forums.
