Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Just a quick note to say how pleased I am to have found this place. I have been in the computer field since 1960. First school was U.S. Air Force. I worked mainframes until 1972. My first personal computer was built with the Intel 8008 and I have been hooked ever since. Looking forward to a rewarding relationship here. Thanks.

Hi. I'm joining the board to ask about a T-CON failure shortly after a power supply failure, and a general question about supply ripple tolerances in a Samsung TV. I'm a software engineer by trade, but I've recapped a fair number of things in my day.

Hey everyone. My name is Otis. I'm 51and live in Dallas. I have backgrounds in auto, diesels mechanic and welding. I have always been very inquisitive about how things work. At the age of 7 my mom's blender went out I took it completely apart, fixed it and it ran better than brand new. I have always loved to take things apart to see how they work put them back together. And it says think if I do something once I almost like Master it it's like I've done it millions of times before I call it a god-given gift. There is nothing that I can't do. I'm always looking for ways to improve our life the things around us environments anyway guys thank you for having me on this forum.

And also it seems like there's nothing that I have not run across before that I could not diagnosis, repair, replace and greatly improve it's performance.
I am an Appliance Re-Engineer. I started a Facebook group primarily for PCB repair, namely capacitor/relay, (and other electronic component) replacement, and troubleshooting, anything that will get a same day complete, so we don't have to send boards to be repaired or order parts. This saves the customer money and makes us more money at the same time. We also do mods for when there is a poor design by an appliance manufacturer, we make it better. Anyone is welcome to join, https://www.facebook.com/groups/1940521266213457/ . Glad to be here, hope to contribute and learn.
