Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Tv problems led me to this site and I'm already seeing there's a lot of great information and helpful people here. I like to be a DIY kind of person fixing my house, cars, toys, etc...but I feel more at home with computers and electronics.
Hoping anything I come across or bring up will help others in the future as I often get information for old threads.

Hi to all members of this forum.
My name is Christian. I am a retired computer technician with 17 years of experience with CGI in Montreal, Canada. Founded in Canada in 1976, CGI has evolved into the country's largest IT services provider.
Since my retirement, I enjoy fixing desktop and laptop PCs as a hobby for friends and family.
Even with many years of experience, there is noting like the collective brain of a group of specialists to resolve technical problems.
I think that this site will be a grat place to share my experience with other specialist experience.

Hi all!
I'm Parham and I'm living in Tehran
Been looking for some answers for one of my friends regarding his laptop issue, and I ended up reading BADCAPS every time
I'm actually a 3D generalist and vfx artist, sometimes a programmer as a hobbyist, but most of my friends know me as the-guy-who-figures-it-all kind of person! lol
Regarding the first posts here, I started my PC journey since I was ~11 with an intel 386 (80386) -> intel 486 -> Pentium III 800 -> Phenom II x4 965 -> And I lost the count after
I'm happy to see such a useful amount of information is gathered here, and I hope I can be helpful to others in some cases

Hello all, my name is Ken. I like to tinker with just about anything. A sort of jack of all trades if you will. I had been searching for a solution to a TV problem, when I ran across BADCAPS several times with some very good info and advice to those seeking answers. I am from a small town in Pa. USA. I look forward to chatting. Have a great day!

Hey. Just a dude who was gifted a LCD TV and is attempting my first TV repair. Basic electrical knowledge and have done some minor repairs but circuit boards are pretty new to me besides my guitar amps.
