I'm just an amateur, I like to repair things, and I'm looking for some repair cases. Bitmaps and circuit diagrams. I'm lucky enough to come to this forum.

New Member here,
what can I say, electronics hobbyist for well over a decade - broke into the tech industry via
manufacturing PCBA and learned more than you could ever imagine by just working with PCBAs and engineers daily.
Wasn't really prepared for how far ahead of the field I would be after spending 5years+ working
in the industry until I started hiring newly graduating Electrical/Mecha Engineers for a new venture I joined in the crypto industry reverse engineering
machines and creating documentation (pcbdocs, schems, etc - I'm a fan of KiCAD and Altium but lean more towards KiCAD bc it's what I learned with) on how to t/s and repair electronics.
I could go through a long list of industry certifications I hold, milspec, aeronautical, semi-conductor,
quality, blah blah but I'm here to relax lol.
Into some light networking (slowly building a home lab in the basement with old poweredges and NAS)
3D and VR modeling, FGPA/ASIC and micro controller/flash programing, but nothing serious - mostly just configurable IDE stuff - debugging, reconfig/optimization.
Been messing with computers, taking them apart and re-building, customizing them since windows 95 era
installed DOOM from a disc, Counter Strike and Halo LAN parties when CS and Halo was awesome)
and just about every other electronic device I can get my hands on.
Current set up is my first ever bought every piece in-box new intended for a complete build since I got some adult money:
MSI MAG MAX z790 wifi
i7-14700K (not overclocking bc I'm trying to avoid burning out cores forever, been wildly stable since I base clocked it)
RTX-4070S
Liquid Freeze3 360 AIO
850 Seasonic
64 GB DDR5 5600
Hoping to be of service but as I read the intro replies of other new member, I realize that I have more to learn
than I'll have to teach on here, so I'm hoping to learn more for all the centuries, rather millennium+ of experience I see around here!

Auld_Tinker here.
I am kicking at the door of retirement age now.
I have been in electronic engineering industry all my life. Not in design or programming but in the setting up of systems in the security sector, CCTV, Intruder, Door Access, Fire - Mainly Cctv systems.
I have kept up with technology after getting my Diploma in Electrical and Electronic engineering (1983- Wow time flies).
I had a spell in my hobby of building PC's from scratch- (Windows XP days - even used 3.1) to find out what it was all about hardware and software. Have used fibre and have knowledge of networking systems.
So at present i have been following various Electronic repair channels on Laptops, consols etc. So here I am - looking to be guided and expand my knowledge with laptop repairs.
I can read schematic diagrams- but trying to get to terms with the different states and voltages is where i am at just now.
I will also pitch in if i can help others.
I have a hot air/ solder station- not used yet, looking at a microscope (maybe) to have a play fixing charging ports and maybe try out on a training board.
