HI GUYS, I'M INSANE. I LIKE ELECTRONICS AND I HAVE SOME 30+ YEARS OF HOBBYIST EXPERIENCE WITH ELECTRONICS. I STARTED WITH USING TONE DIALLERS IN THE 80s AND THEN WENT ON TO DECODING CAR RADIOS AND THEN HACKING SKY AND CABLE TV UNTIL I FOCUSED MY ATTENTION TO COMPUTERS AND LAPTOPS. I LOVE SOLDERING AND DO HAVE VARIOUS SOLDERING EQUIPMENT INCLUDING A HOT AIR STATION THAT I BOUGHT IN 2003 AND I STILL HAVE IT. MY PREFERENCE IS GAS POWERED IRONS BUT I DO USE 60W IRONS ANS 100 GUNS FOR CLEAN UP WORK.

            Hello everyone,

My name is Shane.I have been pulling apart electronics since I was a kid. Now I am enrolled in school working on my electrical engineering degree. I worked for 10 years in the Army as a helicopter repair tech, eventually moving on to quality control where I ensured that repairs were completed properly, conducted weight and balance to determine flight center of balance and maintained all the records for the aircraft. I also worked for several years as a laptop repair tech where I worked on most models then moved one to be a dedicated apple tech. I have a COMPTIA A+ cert and still repair devices for friends and family and the occasional paid work. I am experienced in board repair including SMD and I have all the equipment required to do. I ran across this sit while working on my personal laptop while looking for the schematic for it. I always look forward to learning and I hope this will be a great new found resource to continue on that path. Hope everyone out there is doing well and have a good day.

Hello, I bought a Dell (was working for 4 months) and found this forum while looking for Lattitude 5410 schematics to identify the parts that might cause LCD rail failure and how to find them on the motherboard.

Hello, I am a beginner in PCB repair and I would like to join this community. I don't have much knowledge but it's never too late. Greetings.

I am an electronics DIY enthusiast and am very passionate about various circuit boards, such as designing circuit boards. I often create circuit boards based on my actual needs and also make some for sale. Although I haven't been learning for long, I have already sold a few hundred circuit boards. Hehe, real-world demand is always my motivation to learn.

Hello, im 33, interested into electronics, not so much into repairing things, just data recovery. I am not really experienced, was recovering only HDD's for few years (that's what I am really good at), now started with MAC's and cellphones, and its very interesting.

Hi, I'm Alex, I'm 48. I like to tinker with hardware for my own pleasure, my first contact was with the "ROBIK" computer, it was connected to a black and white TV and programs and games were loaded into it from a tape recorder )) Perhaps for some young people this will sound like science fiction, but there were such dinosaurs
