Thank you . . . thank you. Glad to be here. I just flew in from the coast . . . . . . . and boy, my arms are tired.
But seriously folks, I'm very glad that this forum exists. I finally got around to registering and here is my introduction post.
I have been in electronics since the 1980's and started my career as an Electronics Technician in the US Navy. I am now the Director of Quality for a semiconductor distribution company.
I'm glad to participate and hopefully share a nugget or two along the way.
Thank you very much for allowing me to be in this group of learning and repair contributions.
My name is Humberto Garcia Rangel and I am an electronics engineer from Tampico Tamaulipas Mexico, and I am enthusiastic about electronic knowledge in the different branches of technology.
Let's continue exchanging doubts and knowledge.
Congratulations :-)
Hi everyone,
I'm Felix, a retiree starting late in life with laptop and motherboard repairs. I've been following some YouTubers who kept mentioning Badcaps as a great resource, so here I am. Looking forward to learning and contributing however and whenever I can.
I like DIY repair a lot.
I open up phones and laptops and mess with it. Most of the time it will not be working properly afterwards.
I am into microsoldering.
Always looking for a DIY fix before I resort to selling or disposing of something, this time 50" LG plasma TV I found in the junk (yes, council estate tenants are that wasteful) with a power board hiccup I believe. Will likely be using this resource for future things as well.
I've been repairing/using PC's since the Commodore PET..hehe..just has a flashback<G>. I'm only now realizing the scope of this whole bad cap thing...scary.
My name is Rodel, and I am writing to introduce myself and express my enthusiasm for the field of computers and technology. I have been involved in computer repair since 2010, gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting and fixing various computer issues. While I am not a computer technician graduate, I have developed my skills through self-study and practical application.
Over the years, I have learned how to format computers, diagnose and repair basic hardware and software problems, and optimize system performance. My experience has given me a solid foundation in computer maintenance, and I am eager to expand my knowledge further. Specifically, I am interested in advancing my skills in motherboard repair, including identifying and fixing shorted components, testing voltage levels, and understanding deeper hardware intricacies.
I am highly motivated to learn and improve my technical abilities to become a professional in this field. I would greatly appreciate any opportunities to enhance my expertise and gain hands-on experience under knowledgeable mentors.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the possibility of discussing my passion for computer hardware and repair with you.
